Welcome to Danial's cycling pages!
Here you'll find information about all the audax events I'll be organising in 2008. Following a successful 2007, I'll be running Autumn in the Peak again in September, a hilly 120km ride through some of the best bits of the Peak District south of Edale. But before then, there's the 230km Midlander Grimpeur, and the epic 313km Midlander Super Grimpeur.
There's also a list of routes to ride anytime, across the United Kingdom as well as The Alpine Star, three great rides starting in Andermatt in Switzerland.
You'll also find an ever-growing list of gps files to download, to help you plan your riding.
Have a great ride!

Midlander Super Grimpeur routesheets now online
Oh boy has it been a tough few weekends! I've taken advantage of the recent mild weather, and managed to ride round both the Midlander Super Grimpeur 300km and Midlander Grimpeur 230km routes.
It's slow going when you have to keep stopping to take notes, but the routes are now complete, and you can download copies of them here. Entry to the Midlander Super Grimpeur 313km is just £6, and the Midlander Grimpeur 230km is a bargain £5.

Audax GPS routes
I've ridden a lot of Audax permanent rides lately, and I like to record the route I take on my GPS. These records are now available here.
Thanks also to those of you who have contributed routes. If you have a gps file of an audax route you'd like to share, drop me a line and I'll be sure to post it.

The Alpine Star
The Alpine Star is a series of three permanent rides, each starting and finishing in Andermatt in central Switzerland, and each taking in three major climbs. Each loop counts as one separate permanent ride. However anyone completing all three loops, in any order, may claim a commemorative ‘Alpine Star’ cloth badge, free of charge, from me. Find out more
